Directions

Coming from the Blue Ridge Parkway?

GPS is not advised (it will tell you that “you have arrived” while on the Parkway but you have not.) We are located off of Mile Marker 27. Take the exit for Hwy 56 (Steeles Tavern.) At the bottom of the exit, turn right. We are located on the left side about 3/4 of a mile down Hwy 56 (aka Tye River Turnpike.) It is a sharp left turn into our driveway so if you are driving a larger vehicle, you may need to readjust (turn, back-up a bit, and turn more) before fully making it on the driveway.

From the South:

Head north on Interstate 81 (or east on Interstate 64 if coming from the west). Interstate 81 will merge with 64 in Lexington. Continue north on 81/64 to the Raphine/Steeles Tavern exit. Turn right onto 606 for about 1 mile. At the T, turn left on to Rt. 11 then take an immediate right on to Hwy 56 (Tye River Turnpike) towards Vesuvius. Stay on 56 for approximately 4-5 miles. We are located on the right side of Hwy 56. Look for the big "Sugar Tree Inn" sign. Our driveway is about 1/4 mile long (please read the blog post about our driveway.)
